US Consumer Product Safety Commision: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. The CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or can injure children. The CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed significantly to the 30 percent decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 30 years. |

2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that, where available, connects people with important community services and volunteer opportunities. Every hour of every day, someone in the United States needs essential services. Faced with a dramatic increase in the number of agencies and help-lines, people often don't know where to turn. In many cases, people end up going without these necessary services because they do not know where to start. 2-1-1 helps people find and give help.

We also offer support to trainers of providers, tax preparers, and organizations (CCR&R agencies, family child care associations, food program sponsors, military bases, and state and national child care organizations) who assist providers with their business. Tom Copeland is the director of RNI. |
